Donald Trump didn’t accuse President Tinubu of killing Christians.He said “Christians are being killed in Nigeria and the government must hunt the killers.”
Those are the same cry we’ve heard from Benue widows, Plateau orphans, and Kaduna pastors for years.
So , why did APC loyalist and members like Festus Keyamo, respond with a 1,000-word essay on cabinet diversity instead of a 100-word action plan?
Everyone knows that bandits don’t check the Gazette before they burn a church. Neither does Fulani militias ask if the Aviation Minister is a Christian before they gun down farmers in Yelwata where over 200 people died in one night this year.
Notably, the land of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi became open-air morgues, where the dead is oblivious of who got appointed.
The fact that Tinubu prays with pastors , or that his wife preaches and his children sing in the choir might all be commendable , but , piety in Aso Rock does not stop the bullets in Mangu, Plateau State .
Yet, the numbers are brutal based on various sources :

These numbers are not gimmicks by the opposition against APC, rather they are the stark reality and the cry for survival.
In the past when APC was in opposition, Tinubu flew to Washington screaming genocide under Jonathan. Now in power, the same killings are regarded as “propaganda.” Funny how the view changes from the villa.
A real letter to Trump would have been short, stating :
“Terrorists kill Christians & Muslims. Nigeria needs drones, intel, training. Help us end this.”
That kind of message shows leadership. Not a family devotional.
Nigeria requires truth, accountability, and courage. Every official denial stains the ground with fresh blood.
The fact is peace is not won by erasing pain , but by confronting it.
This is not politics,
This is conscience.
Denial doesn’t just bury bodies, it digs more graves.
